My brisket tried to escape the smoker at a cookoff in Austin

The latch on my old offset gave out halfway through, so I had to hold the door shut with a cinderblock for the final 3 hours. Anyone else had their gear stage a mutiny like that?

Used to think a good latch was just nice to have. That kind of cookoff chaos will change your mind real quick.
