Warning: I used to get so frustrated with neckline cleanup on a really dense beard.

After three messy attempts, I started using a tiny bit of shave oil on my clipper blade and it glides through like butter now. Anyone have a different method for those thick, coarse beards?

Notice how the best fix is often just adding a little bit of the right lubricant.

Seriously though, my buddy was about to replace his whole garage door opener because it was so loud and jerky. I told him to just hit the chain with some white lithium grease first, as a last ditch thing. He sprayed it on, let it sit for an hour, and now it runs smoother and quieter than it has in years. He felt like a genius for avoiding a huge bill over a ten dollar can of lube. It's wild how often the easy fix is right there.

I mean, @carter.gavin is right, but that lithium grease tip is for metal parts. You gotta use silicone spray on the plastic rollers or they can crack. Easy mix-up though.
