Some guy parked diagonally across two EV charging spots yesterday

I pulled into the Whole Foods lot in Austin around 4pm, and there it was. A giant black SUV just sitting diagonal across both Level 2 chargers. I needed a charge bad (down to 12 miles of range) and this car wasn't even plugged in. I waited 20 minutes thinking maybe they'd come back, but nope. Had to drive 3 miles to a different lot and pay $8 for a fast charger instead. The worst part is I saw the guy walking out of the store with a smoothie and he just shrugged at me when I asked him. Has anyone else dealt with people parking like this at charging stations?

The guy just shrugged?" Unbelievable. I would've lost it.

Yeah that's just infuriating. At least @juliashah handled it way better than most people would have. I don't know how you kept your cool enough to just stand there and stare. That shrug would have sent me over the edge too, probably into a full rant about common courtesy and EV etiquette. I get that people make mistakes, but a simple "sorry" or even a quick explanation would have gone a long way. Instead he just dismisses you like you're the one being unreasonable. That's the kind of behavior that makes people hate other drivers, not just EV drivers.

Level 2 chargers too, so even if I was petty enough to wait him out, it'd take forever. I'm a dog groomer, so I'm used to people leaving me high and dry, but this guy took the cake. I just stood there staring at his Yukon like it might magically start charging my car through osmosis or something. Ended up at a ChargePoint in a garage downtown, paid too much, and gave my battery a solid 20% for my trouble. At least my dogs don't shrug at me when they mess up, they just look guilty.
