Saw a guy park his SUV over a fire hydrant for 45 minutes at the grocery store

I was sitting in my car waiting for my wife at the Publix on 3rd street last Sunday and watched a guy in a black Yukon literally back up until his rear bumper was touching a fire hydrant. He went inside, shopped, came out with like 4 bags, and just drove off without a second thought. Does anyone else wonder what people think when they park like that?

Honestly, I gotta say you're not quite right on the details. That Publix on 3rd doesn't even have a fire hydrant near the front spots, it's over by the cart return on the side. So unless he parked way out there, maybe he was just closer to a drain or something? Either way, parking over a hydrant for almost an hour is still pretty dumb, fire truck would've had a field day with that.
