Update: told my dad his 'cheer up' advice actually made my day worse
I was venting about losing a listing to a younger agent and he just said 'well, maybe you're not trying hard enough' like it was helpful. I snapped back asking if he'd say that to someone who just lost their job lmao, now we're not talking.
