Spent $80 on a 'bear-proof' food canister that a raccoon opened in 5 minutes
It was a major brand, and the little bandit just rolled it down a hill until the lid popped... anyone have a better method that doesn't involve a bank vault?

Honestly, that tracks. It feels like every product labeled "tamper-proof" or "indestructible" is just a challenge to the universe. I had a child safety lock my cat figured out in a day. The marketing is always about stopping the specific threat they tested, not a determined animal with time on its hands.

Man, that's brutal. I guess my version of this is buying a "chew proof" phone charger my puppy treated like a spicy noodle. These companies must think animals just politely give up after one try.

Remember those "raccoon proof" trash cans? My buddy bought one after @felix_williams71's whole cat lock thing. A bear just sat on it until the plastic cracked. Total waste. Makes you wonder if they test these things on actual animals. Maybe we need to just hang everything from a tree like the old timers did.
