My boss called me by the wrong name for a full month

Started a new job in Phoenix and my manager kept calling me Lauren. I finally fixed it by putting a sticky note on my monitor that said 'Hi, I'm Laura' in big letters. He saw it during our morning check-in, turned bright red, and just said 'Oh man, my bad.' Has anyone else had to correct someone's name without making it super weird?

The sticky note trick is a solid move. It's direct but still pretty chill. What did your boss call you after he saw it, did he get it right?

That sticky note idea is actually pretty smart. My friend had a coworker who kept saying his name wrong, like calling him "Mike" instead of "Mark." He finally just printed out a fake email signature with his name in huge font and left it on the desk where the guy would see it. It worked without a big talk, which was good because my friend hates that stuff. What's the worst name mix-up you've seen happen?

Honestly @the_hayden, is it that big a deal? People mess up names all the time (just correct them and move on).
