I accidentally called my boss 'mom' in a team meeting
We were all on a Zoom call yesterday and I was super tired. I asked a question and ended it with 'thanks mom' instead of her name. The whole chat went silent for like 5 seconds before someone laughed. Anyone else ever mix up names that badly?

Oh man, that "thanks mom" moment is the worst! I just owned it with a quick "whoops, long day" and moved on.

Honestly that's the best way to handle it lol. Trying to explain just makes it more awkward. I've found if you just roll with it, everyone forgets in like two seconds. Overthinking those tiny slips is the real killer.
