I finally saw the point in manual frequency tuning
Back when I trained, we had to dial in radios by ear and adjust crystals by hand. It was slow work, but you felt every little change in the signal. These days, it's all auto-tuned with a press of a button on a flat screen. I get why it's better, but something about that physical tweaking made you really understand how the waves worked.

Sounds like trying to start a car with a crank. Pretty sure we invented buttons for a reason, lol. Tbh i'd just get frustrated and miss the whole broadcast.

Right? Totally get that crank comparison, had a radio with a manual tuner that was just as bad. Always ended up turning past the station I wanted in a fit of rage. You'd definitely lose the signal before finding it.

Try turning it slowly until you hear the signal clear up.
