Warning: My paint booth's air filter gave out mid-job on a black pearl respray

It happened yesterday afternoon while I was laying down the final clear coat on a Honda Accord. The ceiling filter just let go, sending a fine dust cloud over the whole panel. I had to stop everything, mask the car, and spend two hours swapping the filter before I could sand it all back and start over. Has anyone found a brand of filter that actually holds up better than the standard ones we get from the supply house?

Try the heavy duty ones from the auto body supply catalog.

Oh man, my buddy grabbed some from a catalog like that after @wendy391's tip. They lasted about a week before the threads stripped out completely. I guess the extra strength doesn't matter if the metal quality is poor.

Mine have held up for months, actually.
