Appreciation post: That time I tried a vintage hand-crank dent puller on a '78 Ford fender
It popped the dent out cleaner than I expected, but the old metal was so thin it left a tiny tear. Anyone else have a go-to trick for working with that super thin sheet metal from the 70s?

Man, that reminds me of my buddy's disaster with his old Datsun. He got all excited about using a slide hammer on a quarter panel, said it was the "pro way" to do it. Ended up looking like he shot it with a buckshot, just a bunch of little peaks and valleys. We had to slather that thing in way too much filler to make it straight again.

Ever try a copper spoon? It spreads the force out so you don't punch through.
