Unpopular opinion: people just say 'ask anything' and then get mad when you actually do

I joined this group last week thinking it was actually for asking anything you wanted. So I posted a pretty straightforward question about how to handle a neighbor who keeps parking in my spot. Three people responded and two of them just said 'google it' and the third told me I was overreacting. What's the point of the community name if you're not going to answer the questions people bring up? Has anyone else just given up on actual forums like this?

Does a toolbox having 'Stanley' on it mean you can't ask @the_derek for a wrench?
