My sister told me to put a cup of water in the microwave with leftover pizza
Honestly, I was super hungry after work last night and my only dinner option was some day old pizza. My sister said to put a mug of water in the microwave next to the slice and heat it for 30 seconds. She swore it would keep the crust from getting chewy. I did it, and ngl, it worked way better than I expected. The slice was hot and the crust stayed kinda crisp, not like a rubbery mess. I've tried the paper towel trick before and it just made everything soggy. This was a game changer for my lazy dinners. Has anyone else tried this, or do you have a different hack for reheating pizza?

Totally agree, that water trick is a lifesaver. My roommate showed me the same thing last year and I was so skeptical. Tried it with two slices and a full cup of water, and it came out almost like fresh pizza. The microwave usually murders the texture, but the steam from the cup really does something different. I haven't gone back to any other way since learning it.

Okay but are we really doing science experiments for leftover pizza? I just throw it in the toaster oven. It takes a minute longer but it actually reheats the whole thing, not just makes it hot and wet. The microwave turns everything into a sad, chewy mess, water cup or not.
