My simple garage door fix turned into a two day project
I thought the track just needed some grease, but the real issue was a bent roller bracket I couldn't see. It took me about six hours of messing with it before I finally spotted the problem. I had to take the whole door off the track to fix it, which was way more than I planned. Has anyone else had a small home repair blow up like that?

Oh man, that's the universal home repair law. You go in for a five minute fix and suddenly you're three YouTube tutorials deep, covered in grease, and questioning your life choices. I tried to change a faucet washer once and ended up replacing the entire sink because I cracked it.

Relates so hard to how every small task seems to snowball now. Started just cleaning my car's interior last weekend, ended up detailing the engine bay and ordering new floor mats because I noticed a stain. Feels like you can't touch anything without starting a whole project.

Honestly sounds like a skill issue more than a universal law. Two days for a bent bracket? That's just not paying attention. Most of these "projects" are people not looking at the whole problem before they start.
