My garden hit 40 pounds of tomatoes this week
I started with just four plants in my backyard in May, and yesterday's weigh-in showed I've picked over 40 pounds so far. I had no idea a few plants could make so much food. What do you all do with a big tomato haul besides sauce?

Got a favorite variety for fresh eating?

I mean, "feeling buried" seems a bit much for a good problem like too many tomatoes. It's not like they're a chore, they're literally free food. Maybe just give some away if it's really that serious.

Wow, 40 pounds is a crazy amount. What kind of tomatoes are you growing that pumped out that much? I totally get feeling buried in them. My go-to for a glut is making and freezing simple roasted tomato soup, it uses up a lot fast.
