Just realized my fancy compost bin was a total waste of cash

I dropped $75 on that 'Tumbleweed' rotating composter last spring thinking it would make garden waste easy. It's been nothing but a pain, the lid never seals right and it's way too small for our yard clippings. Has anyone found a simple pile or bin setup that actually works without the gimmicks?

Tell me about it, my fancy bin is just a fancy mouse hotel now. Cameron's pallet idea sounds way smarter than whatever I was trying to do.

Fancy mouse hotel" is killing me. Sounds like your bin came with free room service for rodents. What's next, tiny mints on their pillows?

My buddy had the same issue with a fancy bin. He ended up just using three wooden pallets tied together in a corner. It breaks everything down fine and cost him nothing.
