Every time I send samples for dating, the turnaround is MONTHS.
It HALTS our entire project timeline. Last time, we had to pause excavation for six weeks just waiting on numbers.

We switched labs and now get results in WEEKS, not months.

I read about a lab that usually gets results out in 10 days. @susanm56, going from months to weeks seems better, but was the old lab just bad? Most times, waiting a few weeks is not a big deal. Unless it's for a life or death thing, speed isn't everything. Better labs are good, but let's not act like this changes everything. It's just a bit faster, that's all.

Wait, so you think waiting weeks for test results is no big deal? Honestly @dylanh27, that's easy to say when you're not the one sick and stuck in limbo. A faster lab is a huge deal, not just a little thing.

Our old lab took 8 weeks for a standard panel. Like @susanm56 said, switching cut it to 12 days. That's not just a bit faster, it's the difference between starting treatment in May or July. When you're waiting on a diagnosis, every single day feels long. A good, quick lab takes a real weight off your shoulders.
