Two screws, one wrong choice, 45 minutes of regret
Had to pick between using the same bit on a stripped screw or walking to the truck for a screw extractor. I gambled on the bit, snapped it off, and spent 45 minutes drilling out a Frigidaire control board mount. Has anyone actually had good luck just hammering a torx bit into a stripped Phillips?

My buddy tried that torx trick and snapped off three bits before giving up.

Doesn't that just sum up how most "simple fixes" go these days? You see a trick online that looks easy, but the real world always throws in some hidden cost or extra hassle. It's like everything has this invisible fine print you only find out about after you're already in too deep.
