I spent $75 on a specialty tool kit for a new model last week, only to find the exact same hex key in my old box. Anyone else getting tired of the 'unique fastener' arms race?

Honestly, it just feels like a minor hassle to me. I keep a basic multi-bit driver in a kitchen drawer and it's handled every weird screw on my appliances so far. Manufacturers pull stunts like that to make things look sleek, not to trap us.
