Watched 4 episodes a night last spring, now I do one and sit with it
Back in March I was tearing through 4 episodes of whatever was next in my queue every night, and by Friday I could not tell you a single character's name from the show I finished on Tuesday. Now I watch one episode of Frieren on my couch in Columbus and just let it sit for a bit before I start anything else. It feels slower but I actually remember the fights and the quiet parts instead of watching them blur together. Anyone else hit a point where binging stopped being fun and just became a habit?
The "could not tell you a single character's name" part hit me hard because I did the exact same thing with that show The Bear last year. Crushed the whole thing in like three nights and a week later someone asked me about it and I could barely remember anything past the sandwich shop. Now I do the one episode thing too, and honestly the slower pace makes shows feel like shows again instead of background noise I'm scrolling through. Some nights I just watch half an episode before bed and that's plenty.
