Tried watching Attack on Titan at 1.5x speed and I think the dub fans were angry for a reason
Everyone says speeding up anime ruins it but I binged all of season 1 in two nights at 1.5x and honestly the pacing finally clicked for me. The Colossal Titan reveal still hit hard even when Eren's yelling sounded like a chipmunk. Am I broken or does the slow buildup actually work better when you cut the dead air?

My cousin does this with every show now, even sitcoms. He watched all of Breaking Bad at 2x and somehow still cried at the end, so maybe the speed thing doesn't matter as much as people claim.
