The subs on episode 8 of Frieren threw me off and I thought my TV broke
I was watching Frieren on my couch last Friday around 1am when the subtitles just stopped matching what was happening on screen, like they were a full scene behind. I paused it, restarted the player, even unplugged my TV for 30 seconds, but it kept doing the same thing on that one episode. Turns out my streaming app had switched me to the Spanish sub track somehow, and the English option was buried under two menus I never knew existed. Anyone else have a player randomly flip your sub language mid-show, or is my app just cursed?

Something like that happened with my old Roku box during a rewatch of Breaking Bad. The audio track flipped to French during the "Ozymandias" episode and I sat there for ten minutes thinking Walt had suddenly become fluent. My roommate walked in and started laughing because I was reading the English subs while French voices played over it. That box got retired real quick after that.
