The 3 tubs of miso that flipped my subbed vs dubbed stance
Getting to episode 100 of One Piece on a 6 hour bus ride through Kansas with no wifi made me finally watch dubbed and honestly the pacing clicked so hard I've rewatched 30 episodes of the Grand Line, anyone else had a marathon setting force them to switch formats?

Episode 137 is where it finally clicked for me, sitting in a truck stop lot at 2 AM. I used to be a subtitle snob real bad, but once I gave the dub a fair shot during a storm delay, I noticed I was actually following the story beats better. The voice actors grew on me fast, especially after the Alabasta arc wrapped up. Now I flip between both depending on my mood and honestly it feels like two different shows sometimes. No shame in the dub game when it gets you through the slog.
