My feed is flooded with 'best anime ever' polls that all say the same thing

I keep seeing polls on anime sites asking for the best show, and it's always the same five titles. No one mentions older series or less known ones. I tried starting a thread about hidden favorites, but it got buried fast. Now I just lurk because the talks feel stuck and repetitive.

Saw your post and totally get it. Read an article last week about how algorithm driven lists on big sites just recycle the same popular titles forever. That's exactly what @beth_sanchez47 is talking about with older shows getting buried. The big polls feel pointless because they only measure what's already trending. Smaller forums are the only place where someone might actually know that deep cut from 1998 you love. It's where real recommendations happen instead of just listing the usual suspects everyone has already seen.

Wow, older anime never come up in those polls? That's crazy! Some of the best stories are from old shows, but they get lost in the mix.
