My entire anime watch party crashed during the final episode of Attack on Titan

We were all crammed into my friend's apartment in Chicago, about 10 of us, ready for the big finale. Right as the final battle started, the streaming service glitched and booted everyone out, leaving us staring at a loading screen. We ended up scrambling to find a working stream on a sketchy site with terrible subtitles. Has anyone else had a big group watch totally ruined by tech problems?

That sinking feeling when the stream dies is the worst group watch killer. Our Endgame watch party had the audio go out right as the portals scene started and the room just deflated. Totally get the panic scramble to find any working link, even with garbage subs. Makes you miss the old days of just popping in a DVD.

Oh man, that is the absolute worst feeling. Been there with a big group for a season finale and the panic is real. What saved us last time was having one person ready with a downloaded copy as a backup, just in case. Streaming is great until it totally fails you at the worst possible moment. The scramble to find a working link with bad subs just kills the vibe completely. Honestly, for any huge finale now, I tell my friends to have a backup plan ready to go.

It's just a TV show, not a power outage.
