Am I the only one who sees this wiring harness issue on the new models?
I've been noticing on the latest airframes that the main wiring harness runs too close to hydraulic lines. This seems like a SERIOUS chafing risk that could lead to a short, but the diagrams don't flag it. Has anyone else run into this, or am I overthinking it?

You mentioning the 'SERIOUS chafing risk' really hits home for me. I used to trust the diagrams completely, thinking spacing was not a big deal. That changed when I saw a harness chafed against a fuel line on an older model. It led to a short that grounded the whole system. We lost a day of work fixing it. Now I inspect every close run, and your point about hydraulic lines is very valid.

We started using spiral wrap on all hydraulic lines last year after a close call. That extra layer stopped the chafing completely, no issues since. It's a cheap fix for a stupid expensive problem.
