The foil basket liner trick I read about on a food blog last Tuesday

I saw a post about using crumpled foil to lift chicken wings off the basket bottom, so I tried it with a half batch of drumettes. It worked great, the bottom crisped up instead of steaming, and cleanup took 2 minutes. Do you line your basket with anything or just let the food sit directly on it?

Did you try it with the foil shaped into little hills, or just flat? I started doing the same thing last month and now I won't go back, the wings come out way better and I barely have to scrub anything.

Whoa, I totally used to think the flat foil was the only way. I figured shaping it was just extra work for nothing. But last weekend I gave the little hills a shot and yeah, you're right, the wings came out way crispier and the pan was way easier to clean. I'm never going back to flat now, so thanks for the tip.
