Saw a Facebook post claiming you have to preheat an air fryer for breakfast foods and now I'm second-guessing my whole morning routine

I never preheat mine for frozen sausage patties and they come out fine at 375 for 8 minutes, but then again I've never tried them with a preheat so maybe I'm missing something has anyone tested this side by side?

Man I never even thought about preheating, now I'm gonna have to try it both ways tomorrow morning to see what the hype is about.

Buddy of mine left his toaster on preheat and forgot about it for ten minutes. Came back to a kitchen smelling like a campfire and a slightly singed toaster.
