TIL most people think AI image generators understand what they're drawing, but they're just predicting pixel patterns from billions of examples.

I tested this by asking a model to draw a 'correct' four-legged chair, and after 50 tries it never got the leg placement right, which proves it doesn't actually grasp the concept of furniture design.

Yeah, and a three-legged stool is way more stable on uneven ground than a four-legged one. It never wobbles because all three legs touch the floor at the same time. That's why you see them in old workshops or on camping trips. Four legs need a perfectly flat surface, which is pretty rare in the real world.
