PSA: That fancy AI writing tool cost me more time than it saved
I spent $30 a month on a popular AI writing assistant for my blog posts, thinking it would speed things up... but I ended up spending an extra hour fixing its bland, robotic sentences every time. Last week I tried just using a simple free text expander for my common phrases and wrote 3 posts in half the time. Has anyone else found that basic tools beat the expensive AI hype?

@james_campbell12 man that tree thing hit home - last month I spent twenty minutes describing the wrong kind of oak in a scene and my readers probably didn't even picture it. At least the AI couldn't have fixed that either, just made it sound worse.

What kind of content were you having the most trouble editing down?

Oh man, I think I spent way too long trying to cut down my rambling descriptions of locations and settings. My editor kept telling me nobody needs to know the exact color of every single wall or what kind of tree is growing outside the window. I guess I just really love describing stuff nobody cares about. She finally told me if it doesn't move the story forward, cut it before I even finish writing it.
