My buddy swore I was overfilling my portafilter, kept insisting on 18 grams flat
Turns out he was right - I was cramming 22 grams in there and getting this bitter, choked shot every time. Has anyone else had a friend call out their coffee routine and end up being totally correct?

Honestly my buddy called me out for using stale beans from the grocery store and I was so annoyed but he was 100% right. Switched to fresh roasted ones and my espresso actually tastes good now.
