Hot take: it took me 7 weekends to find a clunk in my front end and it was a $9 part
Been chasing this clunk in my XJ since March. I threw new sway bar bushings, new shocks, and a set of control arm bushings at it, all in my driveway in Tucson, and none of it helped. Turned out the track bar bracket bolt was wallowed out and the bolt was moving a hair every time I hit a bump. $9 for a new grade 8 bolt and washer, 20 minutes with a torque wrench, done. Anyone else burn a whole summer on something that cheap?
