inZone map trust cost me my favorite shrubs
Ugh, that's so frustrating. What part of the map do you think was the most wrong, the frost dates or the whole zone rating?

inHot take: My neighbor's repeated garage sale is a matrix loop, not a hobby
Read about this simulation theory stuff where people get stuck in loops. Your garage sale guy and those lawn gnomes fit way too perfectly.

inWhy does nobody talk about how hard it is to compost in an apartment?
Adjust your browns. In my Seattle apartment, I use a five-gallon bucket with a tight lid. I found that adding twice as much shredded cardboard as food scraps keeps things dry and odor-free. Breaking down citrus peels and onion skins before tossing them in made a huge difference. It's not perfect, but a weekly stir and extra browns saved my kitchen from becoming a bug zone.
