Security patches are released for urgent reasons, and waiting for feedback can leave you wide open.

Totally get what you and ward.jamie mean about clarity. I went overboard with reverb on my last demo, trying to make it sound "big", and just ended up with a washed-out mess.

Really? I see it differently because asking in private later can cause problems. People might not remember the context or feel left out of the loop. I find it's better to get details out in the open when the topic is fresh. That way, everyone hears the same info and misunderstandings are less likely.
