My sunrise flow at Angkor Wat exposed everything wrong with gym yoga.
Ancient stones under your palms beat sterile mats any day.

Imagine needing a historic monument to feel spiritually aligned. My local studio has adequate parking.

But I've found that my spiritual alignment is so fragile it can be undone by a bad parking experience. Last time I visited a cathedral, I spent so long looking for a spot that any sense of awe was replaced by sheer frustration. Now I just meditate in my car outside the grocery store. It's not picturesque, but I can usually find a space near the cart return. Emery's point about parking hits home for me. My soul might be saved, but my bumper definitely isn't.

Pro tip: arrive 20 minutes early and pack a snack. The extra buffer turns parking from a crisis into part of the ritual.

Sometimes I wonder if all this ritual and location hunting is just overcomplicating what should be simple. Jenny_murphy's parking tip makes sense, but when did finding a spot become part of a spiritual practice? If your alignment is that fragile, maybe the issue isn't the parking lot. Real connection shouldn't require ancient stones or perfect conditions. Just unroll your mat where you are and breathe.
