My aunt's dented tin box taught me more than any app tutorial
Last month at a family gathering in Cleveland, my aunt pulled out this beat up 1940s photo of her dad and just handed me a tin box full of loose prints, no sleeves or nothing. She said 'you're the tech kid, fix them up or they're trash.' I spent 4 hours with the free Snapseed app on my phone and honestly, just scanning them flat on a white sheet beat every fancy trick I've tried. The scratches and faded bits came alive because I stopped obsessing over filters and just cleaned the glass first. Anyone else have a relative who thinks one dusty box is the whole family archive, and how do you even start without crying?
