Vent: My time in the desert taught me about siding for hot climates
Honestly, I was in Arizona last month for a family thing, and I kept staring at the houses. Tbh, they use a lot of stucco, which is rare where I live. I chatted with a guy working on a place, and he said they add extra layers to stop cracks from the heat. Ngl, I always thought our way with vinyl was solid, but watching them leave bigger gaps for swelling made sense. They even start early to avoid the midday sun on the materials. It got me thinking about our own methods for when it gets really cold. We might pick up a thing or two for those boiling summer days. All in all, traveling for work or fun can give you new ideas.
