I need to warn you about rust removal videos and their edited reality

I used to love watching clips where people clean rust off old tools. After seeing so many, I tried it myself and the results were never as smooth. The videos always show perfect, even cleaning, but in real life, it's spotty and takes hours. I think these videos create a false idea of how simple it is. They cut out all the messy parts, so you miss the hard stuff. Now when I watch them, I feel tricked because I know what it's really like. If you're starting this because of these clips, get ready for a lot of effort. Don't let the perfect videos make you think it's always satisfying.

Tried cleaning an old wrench for three hours last weekend. Looked like a science experiment gone wrong. My video would be two seconds of shiny metal and eight minutes of me swearing at spots that won't come off. Felt like a total clown after watching those smooth tutorials. My garage is proof reality is never that clean.

Typical. Everything online is a highlight reel.

Totally, my rust removal projects are never as easy as they look.
