My cousin told me to microwave eggs in a bowl of water instead of scrambling them

She said it makes them fluffy like poached eggs without the mess. Tried it last Sunday with two eggs and a splash of water, nuked for 2 minutes, and they came out perfect. Has anyone else tried this trick or got a better way to do eggs in the microwave?

Does microwaving eggs really save that much time compared to just boiling a pot of water? I mean, you still have to clean a bowl either way and stand there watching it. Honestly, I'd rather just crack them straight into a hot pan and be done in three minutes with less chance of a rubbery mess.

Ugh yeah I tried microwaving eggs once and ended up with a weird rubbery hockey puck thing that tasted like nothing. Honestly just cracking them into a hot nonstick pan with a little butter takes 2 minutes tops and you can actually control how done they get. Less clean up too if you wipe the pan with a paper towel after.
