My doctor's office clock jumped forward ten minutes

Sat in the waiting room, staring at the wall clock. It was stuck on 3:15, then instantly showed 3:25. How does time just skip like that?

Lose track of time like that during my night shifts sometimes.

See, night shifts often make time feel weird because your natural sleep cycle is messed up. (I mean, your body wants to sleep at night, right?) It's not just about being busy or distracted. That lost time feeling comes from fighting your own rhythm. So it's pretty common, but also a sign you might need to check your rest habits.

Totally, and this happens in so many parts of life. Like when you're binge-watching a show and suddenly it's 3 AM, or driving home on autopilot and the trip feels instant. Our brains just shut off clock-watching when routines take over. Night shifts are a big example, but even daytime can warp if you're stuck in a dull task. It's WILD how common this time-slip thing is, honestly.
