Back at the old quarry outside Flagstaff and the rock face looks totally different
They've blasted so much new material that the whole stratigraphy I remember from a decade ago is just gone. Anyone know a good spot in Arizona to see clear, undisturbed sedimentary layers now?

Wait, isn't that quarry privately owned and still active? I figured they'd keep blasting, so the rock face was always going to change. For clear layers, have you checked out the road cuts along 89A going into Oak Creek Canyon? The layers there are super clean and they aren't going anywhere. The Schnebly Hill Formation sandstone is right there in your face.

Did you find any good spots along 89A yet?
