Just realized I blew $500 on a 'can't miss' online course for freelancers
It was this big program promising to teach me how to find high-paying clients, but it was just a bunch of stuff I could have found for free on YouTube. The worst part was the 'exclusive' Facebook group, which was just a ghost town with no real help. Has anyone else gotten burned by a course that didn't deliver what it promised?

Totally feel you on the ghost town Facebook group thing. Bought a similar course for graphic design a while back and the promised community was just crickets. Makes the whole thing feel like such a scam.

Maybe the real value was in the course itself, not the group chat.

Honestly used to believe the community part was just a bonus. Then I paid for that photography course last year. The Facebook group had maybe three posts total, all from the instructor linking his own stuff. Felt like buying a movie ticket and walking into an empty theater. Kind of makes you question the whole value of the thing, right?
