Overheard a welder at the supply house say he switched to a different flux for his stick welder and it cut his cleanup time in half.

Read an article once about how small changes in materials can make a huge difference in skilled trades. That welder finding a better flux is a perfect example. Real magic" seems like a stretch. Experience is just doing something a bunch of times until you stop messing it up. It's not some secret power, it's just practice. People act like it's this huge mystical thing when really it's just time and repetition. Makes it sound way more serious than it is.
