My favorite taco truck's cash register died right as I was paying

Happened yesterday at El Jefe's truck in Phoenix, and the owner just laughed and said 'guess lunch is on me today, amigo'. Anyone else have a vendor just give you free food when their gear broke?

The universe has weird ways of sending messages. My car broke down last year right in front of this amazing food truck, and I was stuck there for two hours. I ate so many fish tacos waiting for the tow truck. Maybe breakdowns are just a sign to eat better food.

Oh man, that's awesome! I had a coffee cart's card reader totally freeze on me once, and the guy just waved me off and said the machine had chosen kindness for the day. Those little moments really make your day, don't they? Makes you want to go back and support them even more.
