Showerthought: I just realized I've tied over 500 bows this month alone.

That number hit me while cleaning up my workbench, and it made me think about how much time we all spend on the little finishing touches that customers might not even notice, so what's one small task you do all the time that adds up without you realizing?

Wait, 500 bows in a month? That math seems off unless you're doing this full time. A normal month has about 20 work days, so that's 25 bows a day. Are you tying them for hours straight, or is this maybe a side task you do while doing other things? It just seems like a huge number for a small finishing touch. Maybe you're counting each loop as a separate bow?

Right? I got tired just reading that number. I tried making a bunch for gifts last year and my hands were cramping after like twenty. It really does sound like a full time job.

Feel the same way Bennett.Mason. My attempt at making bows for presents looked like a toddler did them after my fingers locked up. I mean, I got a blister from the ribbon just trying to do a dozen. Maybe it's just me but my hands are built for steering wheels, not tiny loops. The idea of doing twenty-five in one day makes my whole arm ache just thinking about it.
