A bride in Denver told me my bouquets looked like funeral sprays

She said the all-white roses and heavy greens felt too stiff and somber for a summer wedding. I started adding at least two pops of color, like peach ranunculus or purple stock, to every bridal order. Has anyone else gotten blunt feedback that actually improved their designs?

That's a tough comment to get. Good on you for turning it into a positive change.

Honestly, that kind of blunt feedback can sting, but it sounds like you handled it perfectly. Like @dakota_patel98 said, turning it into a change is the best move. Adding those color pops probably makes the whole design feel more alive and less, well, sad. It's a good reminder that what looks elegant to us might just feel heavy to someone else.

Ever think about how the room's lighting changes how colors feel? Like a "sad" gray in a dark office might look totally different, almost warm, in a bright sunroom. Maybe the feedback was partly about the space itself, not just the swatch.
