So I learned the hard way that glitter glue is not a substitute for fabric paint.

My 'bedazzled' jeans ended up shedding glitter everywhere for a week, teaching me to test materials on a scrap first (and maybe avoid craft store impulse buys).

Honestly, @martinez.max is right about glitter glue being a trap for denim. I read a tip online that said it's basically just school glue with sparkles, so it gets brittle and cracks. Once it dries hard, it can't stretch with the fabric at all. That's why your jeans probably shed glitter every time you moved, the glue just couldn't hold up. Tbh, I've heard even fabric paint needs a flexible medium mixed in for things like jeans. It's frustrating because the bottle never warns you about this, so people learn the hard way.

Think of glitter as a tiny, messy fight against clean rooms. Once it gets out, you'll see it everywhere, like a ghost from the craft aisle.

Glitter glue is such a trap for that kind of thing. What was the thinking behind using it on denim? Denim moves and bends so much, it's no wonder the glue cracked and shed. I've seen people try to seal glitter with hairspray, but that never lasts either. Testing on scrap fabric is smart, but even then, glitter has a mind of its own. Did you end up tossing the jeans or trying to salvage them?
