Had to pick between a heavy wool blend or a lighter linen for a spring coat lining

I was making a trench coat for a client in Austin and the lining choice was tough. The wool blend felt more classic but the linen would handle the heat better. I went with the linen and after three wears, she said it was the most comfortable coat she owns. Anyone have a go-to lining fabric for hot weather projects?

My old shop in Phoenix swore by silk, but your story makes a great case for linen.

Phoenix heat is brutal, so @dakota_patel98, I'd pick linen for summer and save silk for cooler months.
