Heard my youngest ask if the radio was broken because the songs didn't change
They were listening to a CD in the car. It hit me that for them, music has always been an on-demand service. I had to explain what a CD even was. Has anyone else had to explain a basic piece of tech from your own childhood recently?

Feel like we make too big a deal out of this stuff. So a kid doesn't know what a CD is, it's just an old piece of plastic. They know what music is, that's what matters. My parents had to explain record players and I turned out fine. Isn't this just how time works?
