Serious question, my quick meditation before facials made clients more relaxed

I read an article about how estheticians' own stress levels can impact client skin reactions. Last week, I tried taking three deep breaths before every facial appointment. Clients immediately seemed more at ease during steam and extractions. One regular even said her skin felt calmer and less red after the session. It's amazing how a small shift in my mindset improved the whole experience. Now I'm curious if other pros have simple tricks to stay present. Do you have a go-to method to reset between clients?

Back in Chicago, I had a two-minute rule between appointments. I'd step into the back room, close my eyes, and just listen to the white noise machine for a bit... it washed away the last session's energy. Then I'd splash cold water on my face, which always shocked me back to the present. Clients started commenting on how fresh I seemed, even during busy days. That physical reset made me more attentive to their skin's needs without saying a word.

After long meetings, I step outside for a minute of fresh air. Letting my mind wander for a bit helps me drop the previous topic completely. Coming back inside, I'm way more focused on the person in front of me.

Remember that deep breaths help but sometimes my mind keeps racing. If I rush through them, I still carry stress into the next facial. Henry_murray1 really nailed it with the cold water splash because that sudden shock breaks my thought loop. I started counting slowly to five while washing my hands between clients. This simple habit grounds me better than just breathing alone. Now I catch small things like a client's skin feeling warmer, which means I adjust my pressure right away.
